I am a 24 year old from Atlanta, Georgia, and this blog chronicles my 27 month adventure as a Youth Development Peace Corps volunteer in Tamslouht, Morocco.
My background is in art; I majored in painting and art history at the University of Georgia. After arriving in country in September 2011, I am now working in the dar chabab, or youth center, of Tamslouht. This little artisan haven is located about 20km outside of Marrakech. I currently teach 9 English classes (“developing dem youths” is my official job description) and looking to delve into some long-term projects with the artisan community here….insh’allah.
Peace Corps demands that I tell you that everything expressed on this blog is my opinion/ version of the truth and in no way reflects them or their views.
If you have any questions about this experience or would like to know more about being a PCV, life in Morocco, or the value of chocolate in care packages, feel free to email me at squinn0401@gmail.com

What IS the value of chocolate in care packages? And how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie-pop?
